About the Database

The Tech Litigation Database is the first open-access resource compiling, exploring and exposing the growing number of global litigation efforts against automated systems. With it, we aim to raise awareness and provide transparency about the impact of new technologies on our society, informing and supporting the work of researchers, legal actors and civil society organisations.

The Tech Litigation Database is part of the Algorithmic Fairness for Asylum Seekers and Refugees ‘(AFAR) Project, which is funded by the Volkswagen Stiftung through its ‘Challenges for Europe” programme.

The AFAR Project is hosted at the Centre for Fundamental Rights at the Hertie School.

More information on the AFAR Project is available here.
